Fuse your faith with your academic pursuits through any of our incredible degree programs and scholarship opportunities that are available for incoming students.

Embrace the extraordinary potential of faith in God as a catalyst for your educational and professional journey by being a part of the next Young Student Cohort.

  • The Young Student Cohort is a peer group of students aged 18-25 who start at SBIC in the same academic year. During the first two years, the cohort participates in campus-sponsored transformative activities, aimed at fostering meaningful relationships and peer support.

So, if you're a young adult, ages 18-25, with a passion for spiritual life and a God inspired desire to earn a college degree, Southern Bible Institute & College is your destination for a transformative experience.

At SBIC, we embrace the belief that the path to educational success is not solely determined by excelling in academics, athletics, or artistic talent. We recognize that unwavering passion for Jesus can be a powerful force that drives academic pursuits. Our goal is to assist you in channeling your enthusiasm for an accredited college education, aligning it seamlessly with your spiritual and career journey. Whether or not your graduating GPA places you at the top of your class, we value your heart's devotion to faith and your profound desire for spiritual and academic growth. These qualities are more than sufficient to empower a dynamic and enriching experience at SBIC.

In Fall 2024, we are excited to welcome the pioneering peer group of young students proudly referred to as the Alpha ’24 cohort.

Unlocking the Potential of Future Leaders - The Daniel Scholars Program

SBIC proudly presents the prestigious Daniel Scholars program, exclusively for dedicated, full-time students aged 18-25. This program is tailored to offer unique mentorship, financial assistance, and community service experience during the crucial first two years of their college journey.

Drawing inspiration from Daniel chapter 1 and the familiar "Rhodes Scholar" distinction, Daniel Scholars are full-time students within the Young Student Cohort. They embody underserved, newly engaged college students recognized for their potential as future leaders and godly influencers. Supported by their families and home churches, Daniel Scholars are poised for student success and remarkable impact.

What Does It Mean to Be a Daniel Scholar?

As a Daniel Scholar, you'll embark on a unique path that includes:

  • Specialized Mentoring: Receive one-on-one guidance from experienced mentors who are dedicated to your personal and academic growth.
  • Community Service Experience: Immerse yourself in transformative hands-on community service learning opportunities. These experiences will not only enrich your academic journey but also set you apart in your chosen field.
  • Tuition Support: Access financial support to make your educational journey more accessible and affordable, ensuring that you have the resources you need to thrive.

Program Objectives

The Daniel Scholars program is designed to achieve three key objectives:

  • Establish Young Future Leaders: Through a specialized mentor and peer support system within SBIC's college enrollment, we aim to nurture and establish young future leaders.
  • Provide an Educational Advantage: By demonstrating the unique advantages of a Southern Bible education, we set you on a path to success distinct from the first two years at most other institutions of higher learning.
  • Partnership with the Local Church: We foster an educational partnership with ecumenical groups to provide remarkable support in preparing future leaders and godly influencers from within the Christian church.

At SBIC, we are committed to empowering the next generation of leaders who will seamlessly blend their faith and education to make a profound impact on the world.
